Fibre-Lyte 3.2Gb/s MT-RJ 1Tx+1Rx
Fibre-Lyte is an optoelectronic packaging technology which can be used to interface with MT connectors. It can package a wide range of VCSELs, detectors and many other chips from low to high power.
This is an example of the 1Tx+1Rx MT-RJ design (order code CJT-LSN-V5-3.2) which is an alternative to a dual TO can deployment. This design will handle up to 3.2Gb/s and provides RSSI where the level is added to the common mode of the differential data output pins. The size and pin out is identical on the 10Gb/s variant except RSSI is provided on pin 6.
Fiber-Lyte Coupling to MT-RJ

| Pin | Code | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | +3.3VA | Transimpedance amplifier power plane. |
| 2 | 0VA | Transimpedance amplifier ground plane. Replicated on pin 5. |
| 3 | TIA+ | Differential CML +ve for transimpedance amplifier. |
| 4 | TIA- | Differential CML -ve for transimpedance amplifier. |
| 5 | 0VA | TIA ground plane. Replicated on pin 2. |
| 6 | NC | No connection - reserved for RSSI use in different versions. |
| 7 | VCSEL Cathode | VCSEL cathode (-ve) connection. Replicated on pin 9. |
| 8 | VCSEL Anode | VCSEL anode (+ve) connection. |
| 9 | VCSEL Cathode | VCSEL cathode (-ve) connection. Replicated on pin 7. |
